Delaware County announces Christmas bazaars, craft fairs

Dunwoody Village

Dunwoody Village will host its annual Holiday Bazaar Thursday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The bazaar is the culmination of countless hours of preparation by Dunwoody’s residents, who organize the event as well as collect and create the items to be sold. All proceeds from the event are used to enhance Dunwoody resident programs.

The excitement for this year’s bazaar is heightened, not only because the Bazaar had been cancelled for the past two years due to Covid restrictions, but also because the event will take place in the brand-new auditorium that is part of the newly renovated Community Building.

The Bazaar features a wide array of items from which to choose, including unique handcrafted items, holiday decorations, attic treasures, costume jewelry, baked goods, house plants, and much more. Visitors can also take a chance on baskets of cheer.

Our Lady of Peace Parish

Our Lady of Peace will hold a Christmas Bazaar, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in Nelson Hall, behind Notre Dame deLourdes School, Fairview Road, Swarthmore. The bazaar will feature basket raffles, toy wheel, chances on TV, Shark Vacuum, Basket of Cheer, Deacon’s Attic and vendors,.

St. Joseph Parish

St. Joseph Parish, Aston, will have its annual Christmas bazaar Saturday, Nov. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Degnan Hall, 3255 Concord Road, Aston. The bazaar will feature white elephant tables, books, jewelry, basket raffles, a sweets table, photos with Santa, and much more. Everyone is welcome.

To donate items, stop by the hall on the final drop-off date: Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. For more information, call 610-497-3340.

St. James Episcopal Church

St. James Episcopal Church, 732 11th Ave., Prospect Park, will hold its annual Canterbury Market on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The market will include a cookie walk, bake and soup table, crafts, tired jewelry, white elephant tables, tea room and lunch room.

Kids can decorate gingerbread men as well as take chances on toys.

There will also be 50/50s, lottery wreath, raffles, and a silent auction that will include a Phillies basket with tickets and an Eagles basket with tickets. Brookhaven Town Watch

The Annual Town Watch Holiday Craft Fair will take place Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brookhaven Municipal Center, 2 Cambridge Road. If interested in being a vendor, cost is $25 per space and a limited number of tables will be available for an additional $5.

St. John The Evangelist Church

St. John’s Episcopal Church: 16 W. Third St., Essington, will be holding a Christmas bazaar on Dec. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. Crafts, food, cookie walk and more.

Harry’s Hands To Help and Heal

Harry’s Hands to Help and Heal will host its annual Christmas Bazaar Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Glenolden, 2 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden.

The large holiday and craft bazaar featuring dozens of local vendors will also feature games, music, food, shopping, 50/50, and raffles. Admission is free.

Children can enjoy free face painting, then make a holiday craft, as well as take photos with Santa and the Grinch. The Candy Cane Cafe will serve food and beverages all day. Everyone is welcome.

Folsom Fire Company

Folsom Fire Company, 411 Sutton Ave., Ridley Township, will have a Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Families can enjoy breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and do their holiday shopping with local craft vendors throughout the event.

Immanuel Lutheran Church

Immanuel Lutheran Church, 501 Chester Pike, Norwood, will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

Homemade Christmas cookies will be pre-packaged in small quantities, but still available to select favorites to purchase by the pound.

Homemade baked goods and sweets will be available too. Members have made a variety of fresh soups in mason jars ready to eat or to refrigerate until ready.

Stromboli, ready to heat, can be taken home. Lunch will be available for purchase on site. Handmade crafts are available for gift shopping. Plus, there’s a flea market tables to pick up odds and ends, including some holiday décor. Santa will be present for families to take their own photos.

Upper Darby High School Band

The Upper Darby High School band will sponsor a craft fair and comic and toy show Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help raise funds for the music program. All proceeds will benefit current and future Upper Darby band and orchestra Students.

The shows will take over almost 25,000 square feet of gym space at the school, 601 N. Lansdowne Ave., offering the public a huge shopping opportunity. Admission is free.

The Winter Fest Craft Fair will offer homemade and handcrafted jewelry, food, holiday decor, gifts and specialty items.

The Winter-Con Toy and Comic event will offer comic books, anime, action figures, toys, Funko POPS, Disney, manga, sports and nonsports cards, Pokeman and more.
