Bullskin Senior Center breakfast fundraiser will be held 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 5 at its location at 52 Medsger Road, Connellsville. The breakfasts will be held the first Saturday of the month, weather permitting. Breakfast includes regular or buckwheat pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits with sausage gravy, ham, potatoes, coffee, tea, and juice. Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12 and children younger than 6 eat for free. It is takeout or eat in.

The annual Coal and Coke Trail Comedy Night fundraiser will be held Nov. 5 at Scottdale Firemen’s Club, 405 Porter Ave., Scottdale. There will be food, a cash bar, 50-50 drawings and basket auctions. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35 and include dinner. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at the Filling Station, Brilhart Hardware, Scottdale Distributing, and the Westmoreland County Parks office or by calling 724-221-4229.

A chicken and biscuit dinner is scheduled noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 5 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 126 E. Fairview Ave., Connellsville. It is eat in or take out. Call 724-628-7920 for details. On the menu is chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for those 12 and younger. Proceeds benefit the back-to-school clothing drive.

The City of Connellsville and Penn Highlands Healthcare Connellsville are partnering to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the city’s new Infectious Disease Emergency Response Center on the lower level of the East Side Fire Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4.

This is a walk-in clinic and is open to anyone 12 years of age or older.

The Sons and Daughters of Italy Ladies Lodge No. 1686 of Connellsville met recently. It was announced the memorial Mass will be held 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at St. Rita’s on the West Side.

World Christian Outreach Ministries, 109 East End Road, Connellsville, will host a soup and sandwich sale noon to 6 p.m. Nov. 5. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. Price includes a variety of soup, one sandwich, and a beverage. All proceeds benefit Operation Christmas Child.

New Haven Hose Fire Department will be selling hoagies Nov. 5.

The Mozart Club will welcome pianist Levi Graft, as featured performer at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Connellsville. The performance is open to the public.

The Penn Highlands Hospital Auxiliary will meet 1 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Learning Center of the hospital. Any money for the holiday gift card tickets will be collected. Christmas tree sales will be in the lobby Nov. 14 through 25, the night of the drawing. Come in and see the decorated Christmas trees from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election Day dinners will be available Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. At the Payne AME Church, 812 W. Crawford Ave., Connellsville. Cost is $15 per dinner. The menu comprises turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, roll and butter and dessert.

Dunbar Loving Hands Senior Citizens will be having a soup and bake sale 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8 at Franklin United Methodist Church Social Hall, 56 Bridge St., Dunbar. Eat in or take out. Cost is $6 a pint. Soups available are pepper soup, vegetable, chicken noodle and wedding. Eat in and get bread, a drink and cake.

The Vanderbilt United Methodist Church, Route 201, across from Sweet Pea’s, will hold an election day soup sale 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 8. Quarts of vegetable, ham and bean soup will be available for purchase for $8 each.
