The Hidden Jewels Project “From Trauma 2 Triumph,” a two-day conference to raise awareness of domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking will be held Friday and Saturday at Ardmore Baptist Church, 501 Miller St., Winston-Salem. There will be a gala and awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, doors open at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $25. The Saturday conference will be from noon to 5 p.m. and the cost is $30.

Glenn View Baptist Church, 4275 Glenn High Road, Winston-Salem, will have a free Surviving the Holidays seminar at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 13. It will help participants deal with emotions, what to do about traditions, provide tips for surviving social events and finding hope for the future.
