Stop & Shop Unveils Remodeled Bayside Store

Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today unveiled its newly remodeled store in Bayside (213-15 26th Avenue). In celebration of the Grand Reopening, earlier in the week Stop & Shop donated $7,500 in gift cards to Queensborough Community College to fund their in-school food pantry.

The Bayside store is now noticeably brighter and more modern. The store also offers new features centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options to make grocery shopping easier, such as:

· Over 1,200 new multicultural products across the entire store, including an expanded Kosher assortment, more authentic Asian items, and tons of new products from Central and South America

· Expanded produce department with additional local offerings for more ways to eat healthy

· Remodeled bakery department complete with delicious cakes, cupcakes, and other treats

· Upgraded seafood and meat departments featuring an array of proteins

· An updated deli department that features an expanded assortment of offerings including grab-and-go meal solutions

· More freshly prepared foods, including freshly made sushi, and Boar’s Head Sandwiches

· Expanded dairy and frozen food departments offering a wider array of goods

· Organic and natural products integrated within the grocery aisles allowing customers to see all product options available

Customers who visit the newly remodeled Bayside store on August 4th or August 5th will enjoy the local produce market held outside the front of the store. The local produce market will offer shoppers the chance to sample or purchase fresh local produce. Customers who enter the store from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. through August 6th will enjoy free giveaways and product samples as part of the Grand Reopening celebration.

Stop & Shop remains committed to offering Bayside customers easy and convenient ways to shop and save. Customers can then head to the store, park in one of the designated Pickup spots, and have a Stop & Shop associate load their groceries right into their car.
